It runs as descriped above. Sometime disconnects. But by itself reconnects after a period of time. D-link may very well not supply new drivers for it it looks like the last one was 1 year ago and it sounds like Win7 and Vista doesn't have any specific driver for it. Unless you just go ahead and try d-links latest vista driver in Win7 maybe it will work or not or find a hack then its probably time for a new wireless card. I have recently bought a D-Link DWL G510 wireless card for my Windows 7 (64 bit) system, and I can't seem to get the drivers up and running.

Free adobe design software. I have tested it in an XP box and the hardware works, I just can't get it to install the drivers on my Win7 box.

I have tried using the bundled drivers, the latest ones from the internet and the ones from windows update.

The bundled drivers and the ones downloaded refuse to work, as looking in the device manager there is only a 'Network Adapter', not the DWL G510 I was expecting.. When i look at the properties it mentions that 'no drivers are installed for this device'.

Windows update finds the relevant update and then just fails with the error 'The system cannot find the file specified'.

When I try and install the drivers manually the only error given back is the same one that the windows update gave back 'The system cannot find the file specified'.

I have had a look in infSetupAPI.dev.log to see if I can figure out which file it can't find, but I'm afraid I'm not very good at this and couldn't find too much.

I'm aware that this is getting quite long, I just don't want to have to do a fresh install of Win7 over this, so I'll finish by saying that any help at all really would be appreciated.
